We want to provide the best of the best care for your pets, indoors and outdoors, which is why we’ve installed pet-friendly K9Grass® throughout our outdoor facilities. This special grass is designed with your pet in mind and is more than just an artificial turf.

Keeps Your Pets Clean

We know dogs love rolling around in the grass, which is why we’ve installed K9Grass® so your pooch still gets to enjoy the same outdoor experience without the mess or smell.

The unique knitted flow-through™ backing makes sure that liquids pass through 100 times faster than regular turf. This drainage means that hair, feces, and urine won’t be trapped in the turf, keeping it clean and preventing unwanted odors. Antimicrobial agents are built into the turf, so as the feces travels below, your dogs get to play in fresh, clean grass.

This helps keep your dog healthy and happy, and you can take comfort knowing your pet won’t be smelly after using the facilities at Ruffledale.

Safe for Your Pooch

Unlike regular artificial turf, this grass is designed for dogs. The grass itself is cushioned to make it easy on your dog’s paws and joints. Your dog can walk easy at our facility, as it’s much better on your pooch’s feet than hard cement.

Turf often has rubber bits that dogs can chew up and eat, but that’s not a problem with our K9Grass®. It’s made from environmentally-friendly materials that are safe and non-toxic to pets but durable enough that it can’t be dug up.

Rules

• All dogs must be at least 12 weeks of age or older.
• They must have had two DHPP vaccines and one Bordetella vaccine administered by a Veterinarian to enter the facility
• All dogs must be spayed or neutered by 7 months to play with other dogs. We DO NOT accept dogs that have not been spayed or neutered for boarding.
• All dogs must have up to date vaccinations and must be given by licensed veterinary. Owners must show written proof of vaccinations including Rabies for puppies over 4 months of age. DHLPP (distemper) given annually and Bordetella (kennel cough) given at least once a year. However, we do recommend Bordetella be given every 6 months.
• Without proof of vaccinations, the canine will not be allowed to play or stay at Ruffledale until proof is obtained.
• All dogs must be in good health. Owners must certify that the canine has not had any communicable condition in the previous thirty days. Any dog that has had a communicable condition, needs a veterinarian certication of health to be able to attend Ruffledale.
• All dogs must be non-aggressive towards other dogs or humans and not food or toy protective. All dogs will require to pass a temperament evaluation. Safety of all the dogs and employees is essential. All owners must certify that their canine has not harmed a canine or human in the past.
• All dogs must not be able to jump a 5’6” fence.
• All dogs must have a soft collar, no choke collars allowed.
• We recommend all dogs to be treated with a lice preventive monthly, but do not require this at this time.
